Just returned from a lovely city break in a picturesque location! The guest rooms were clean and well-arranged, with one room even having a private bath. We enjoyed the common sitting space where we could relax and chat, and the coffee bar was a nice touch. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home. But the highlight was definitely the delicious breakfast made with local products. And the best part? The town was just a short walk away along a beautiful river, perfect for a leisurely stroll. We even spotted three otters!
The only downside was that the shared toilets, as opposed to private ones, were a bit inconvenient. However, given the layout of the rooms, it's understandable and doesn't detract from the overall experience.

Some of the rooms lacked a microwave, which would have been convenient for quick meals.

We had a wonderful stay at L'Autre Riviere! Our visit to Mont St Michel was made even better by staying here instead of the hotels near the attraction. The owners were incredibly polite and friendly, and the breakfast with local products was fabulous. We enjoyed a scenic walk along the river, where we even spotted three otters! The room was tastefully decorated, clean, and tidy. The surroundings were quiet and perfect for stargazing at night.
We do recommend this hotel.

I absolutely loved the charming decoration throughout the hotel. The floral patterns and delicate furniture reminded me of my grandmother's house. The common areas were cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Being a senior, I appreciated that the hotel had easy access with no stairs to climb, making it convenient for guests with mobility challenges.
One small improvement could be the presence of handrails in the bathrooms. As a senior, having a sturdy handrail would have made me feel more secure and confident while using the facilities.

We couldn't have asked for a better value for our money. The room at L'Autre Riviere was comfortable and homely, with a magnificent bath. The location was idyllic, with beautiful grounds and horses, and a short walk along a pretty river to the town. But the best part was the welcoming and friendly staff, especially Sylvie, who made us feel right at home.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better at L'Autre Riviere was if there were more breakfast items to choose from.
